Since the 1980’s, this growth corridor has been transformed from sleepy villages to vibrant and active communities with many permanent residents commuting to their place of employment. These areas are also very popular for holiday accommodation letting throughout the year.

During Winter with the slopes only 25 minutes away, skiers can hop on the Horse Hill chair and have a great day skiing while at the end of the day, returning to their home at the base of Buller. Ski Hire and clothing can also be hired at Horse Hill or Mirimbah and with transport available from Mirimbah and beyond for those not wishing to drive up the mountain.

Throughout the region are several restaurants, the famous country Hunt Club Hotel and The Mill Inn to name a few. Mansfield Township is a pleasant 20 minute drive and during summer, Bonnie Doon and Lake Eildon are very popular spots for water sports and fishing.

There are several unique country townships to explore including Jamieson, Bonnie Doon and Goughs Bay. Even if the weather is poor there is always something to do. You could visit the Delatite Winery or take a 20 minute drive into Mansfield. During Summer and Winter the activities are endless and all within easy reach.
